I got bombarded with invites to “like” these guys. One of many reasons I axed my FB account.

I notice the wingnuts always add a little something after their ‘icons’ names to make it clear that the ‘icons’ are one of them; Jesus Christ - Christian, Thomas Jefferson - American.

It reduces these ‘icons’ to tautalogies, and makes them irrelevant.

Sad.

This tactic reminds me of the JIDF’s Facebook pages with titles like “Jews”, “Bagels”, “Chicken Soup”, etc. where most of the content they post is devoted to… hating Muslims and Obama.

So I just looked at the “Thomas Jefferson - American” page. In addition to a link to the National Policy Institute, there’s links to “Henry Ford - American” and the “Walt Disney Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals.” Ford and Disney were pretty infamous for many of their political beliefs and it is disturbing, to put it mildly, to see them being pulled back into circulation like this.
